LS ELECTRIC America recently participated in Datacloud USA & Metro Connect Fall 2026, where the company highlighted low- and medium-voltage switchgear solutions designed to support reliable, safety-focused and space-efficient power distribution for data centers and other critical facilities.
The company’s Datacloud activities began September 1 with an exclusive tour of its Technology Center in Bastrop, Texas. Participating attendees traveled from the Marriott Austin, the Datacloud host hotel, for the dedicated visit, with transportation and lunch provided by LS ELECTRIC America. The tour took place ahead of the two-day event and offered an additional opportunity to connect with LS ELECTRIC America before the exhibition opened.
On September 2nd, the Power Systems Division Lead, Jaekyun 'JK' Kim, represented LS ELECTRIC America on an executive panel alongside representatives from Google, Lambda, and Maverick Power, where they answered questions about navigating supply chain challenges in the data center space as well as the wider impact that rising demand and interest in data centers has had on their company, community, and the world.
LS ELECTRIC America exhibited at Booth #2-107 during the September 2–3 event at the Austin Marriott Downtown in Austin, Texas. Visitors had the opportunity to explore the company’s MCSG Metal Clad Switchgear, Susol UL low-voltage arc-resistant switchgear and Susol UL891 Switchboard Solution. Together, these solutions represented configurable approaches to power distribution across varying voltage, capacity, protection and space requirements.
Medium-Voltage Distribution for Critical Facilities
For critical facilities requiring medium-voltage power distribution, LS ELECTRIC America featured its MCSG portfolio. Available in arc-resistant and non-arc-resistant configurations, MCSG provides options from 4.76 kV to 38 kV.
Arc-resistant MCSG solutions are designed to help protect personnel during an internal arc event while supporting reliable electrical distribution. The portfolio includes UL-listed and ANSI/IEEE-aligned solutions for facilities with demanding power and protection requirements.
MCSG also features a compact design that helps customers make more efficient use of electrical-room space. This combination of voltage options, protection configurations and compact design supports the needs of facilities with demanding electrical-distribution requirements, including data centers and other critical applications.
Low-Voltage Arc Resistance and Capacity
LS ELECTRIC America also highlighted Susol UL low-voltage arc-resistant switchgear. Designed, built and tested to meet UL/ANSI standards, the system provides arc-fault containment up to 100 kAIR at 635 Vac.
The system supports continuous current ratings up to 6,000 A for both main and vertical bus, helping data centers manage high-capacity power-distribution requirements. The Susol low-voltage platform is modular, with multiple width options and flexible configurations that can be tailored to available space and application requirements.
The modular platform is designed to help customers reduce footprint, streamline installation and accommodate future changes, providing flexibility for low-voltage distribution applications.
A Configurable Switchboard Solution
The Susol UL891 Switchboard Solution rounded out the portfolio showcased at Datacloud USA & Metro Connect Fall 2026. It provides a cost-effective, configurable option for low-voltage distribution projects.
The solution offers copper main-bus options from 1,200 A to 6,000 A, along with multiple interior, bus-strap and breaker configurations. These options support project-specific requirements and give customers flexibility when specifying low-voltage distribution equipment.
By showcasing its MCSG Metal Clad Switchgear, Susol UL low-voltage arc-resistant switchgear and Susol UL891 Switchboard Solution at Datacloud USA & Metro Connect Fall 2026, LS ELECTRIC America underscored the range of configurable power-distribution options available for data centers and other critical facilities.
