Servo Drive : How to update the firmware of servo drive in DriveCM?

1. Above all, you should install DriveCM and have the firmware file. 2. Click ‘Firmware Update’ as shown below. 3. Click ‘Open Firmware Downloader’. 4. Click the ‘load’ button to retrieve the Firmware file. 5. Select the ‘BIN’ file of the firmware to download, then click the Open button. 6. The loaded Firmware ‘Total Length’ and ‘Total Packet’ are displayed. Compare Current name with New name to check drive type, capacity and firmware version. 7. After the deletion is complete, Firmware is automatically sent and the current transmission status can be checked via the Progress bar and the ‘Current Packet’. (The time to transfer may take from tens of seconds to minutes depending on PC performance). 8. A ‘Transmission completed’ pop-up window will be displayed if the transmission has completed successfully. (After the PC transfer is complete, power the drive off/on again and reboot)

Servo Drive : How could I change the contact A to B when CCW limit signal is turned on?
Q. How could I change the contact A to B when CCW limit signal is turned on? A. If CCW Limit signal is turned on, check specification and the wiring of the limit switch. The default value is contact A when shipped from factory. If you need to change the contact A to B, change the contact ‘High’ to ‘Low’ as below picture through the Drive CM.
Servo Drive : How does DD Motor perform servo tuning?
Q. How does DD Motor perform servo tuning ? A. – DD motor is more inertial than general rotary servo motor.. – Since the DD motor is generally applied to a large inertia turning table, noise or vibration may occur in the DD motor when driven by the default gain set in the servo drive. – In this case, we recommend manual tuning method rather than auto tuning of servo drive. Please refer to the attached figure 1(0).png using Drive CM.
Servo Drive : AL-31 Encoder Cable Open Error Occured. What should i do?
Question : After the servo drive (L7S) was connected to the motor the power should be supplied. After supplying power, AL-31 Alarm went off. What measure should I do take? Answer : Please follow the steps below : (1) Check Motor ID on the name tag if it matches with the Value entered in the parameter [P0-00] (2) Check encoder type [P0-01] (3) Check encoder Resolution [P0-02] (4) Check encoder cable (5) Replace servo motor Replace servo drive
Servo Drive : How to register a EtherCAT servo drive of other companies in XG-PM?
1. Above all, you should have an XML file for your servo drive. 2. Save the XML file in the following path. 3. Open XG-PM. 4. You can check the servo drive in the library window in XG-PM.
Servo/Motion : I use L7P (or L7NH). I’d like to run JOG operation on DRIVE-CM. Explain how to go for the steps on Drive-CM.
Connect to Servo Drive (L7P or L7NH). Then, check if the status is ‘USB connected’. Click [Procedures] > [Manual Jog]. Set Speed (rpm), Acc/Dec time and S-curve Time. Click [Drive ON] for Servo Drive to be s-run (Speed mode_ON). Set Speed (rpm), Acc/Dec time and S-curve Time. Finally, as clicking Positive and Negative buttons, you can make the motor rotate on Positive/Negative direction. In FB Speed and FB Position, it’s possible to monitor Feedback Speed and Postion.
Servo/Motion : Is it possible to use L7S(N) servo drive by supplying single phase AC 220V?
• Basically, Our L7N drive series are designed for 3phase AC 220V (100W~3.5kW) and 3phase AC 400V (1.0kW ~ 3.5kW) • If you use L7N drive with Single phase AC220V, Max. Torque – Max. Speed can be changed. • With our R&D calculation, there will be 2 kinds of option as follows ① Use bigger size of drive than STD matching ② Decrease Max. Load from 300% to lower (See below table) Refer to attached file.
Servo/Motion : What kind of network is available in XGT’s motion control system?
EtherCAT is available in XGT PLC to control servo driver for position or motion control systems • XGF-PN8B, XBF-PN8B, XGF-M32E are the module names, Can control servo driver via EtherCAT network ※ The motion or position module of XGT PLC satisfies the standard protocol (CoE) of EtherCAT association ☞ Refer to the catalog or manual of module for detail information on the product
