The Company acts as the controller of the information provided or collected through the website on which this policy is posted, as well as through its applications on third-party websites or platforms.The Company places great importance on users’ personal information. Provision and Sharing of Personal Information with Third Parties

The Company does not, in principle, provide users’ personal information to third parties. However, an exception can be made in the following cases:

If you do not consent to the overseas transfer of your personal information, you are advised to discontinue using LS services and request the deletion of your LS account.

Delegation and Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing

1) Unless required to retain the information by other laws, the Company will promptly dispose of personal information that is no longer required to be held, such as when the retention period has expired or the purpose of processing the information has been achieved.

2) When entering into outsourcing agreements, the Company includes provisions in the contract, as required by [relevant clauses], that prohibit the processing of personal information for purposes other than performing the outsourced tasks, technical and administrative protection measures, restrictions on further outsourcing, management and supervision of the subcontractor, liability for damages, and other related responsibilities. The Company monitors the subcontractor to ensure the secure processing of personal information.

3) If there are changes to the content of outsourced tasks or the subcontractor, the Company will promptly disclose such changes through this Privacy Notice.

Exercise of Rights and Obligations by Customers and Legal Representatives and Remedies for Consumer Rights Violations

Data subjects (or their legal representatives, where the data subject is a minor under the age of 16) have the right to withdraw their consent to the collection, use, and provision of personal information (terminate membership) at any time. Customers also have the right to request details about the specific personal information collected about them. In addition, customers can exercise their right to access, correct, delete, or suspend the processing of their personal information.Requests by data subjects to exercise their rights over their data should be submitted through the Contact Us section (link provided). Once submitted, requests will be forwarded to the relevant department, and a response will be provided within 45 days.

1) Data subjects or their legal representatives may exercise these rights online via the customer service portal or by contacting the Company’s Personal Information Protection Officer and relevant staff through written communication, phone, or email. The Company will act on such requests without delay.

2) These rights can also be exercised through an authorized agent, such as a legal guardian or a delegated representative. In such case, a power of attorney form (link provided) must be submitted.

3) Customers may, in accordance with the following applicable state laws, request access to or the suspension of the processing of their personal information:

However, certain services may be restricted to protect the rights of the data subject.

4) Requests for the correction or deletion of personal information cannot be granted if the information is required to be collected under other laws.

5) When responding to requests for access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing, the Company will verify whether the requester is the data subject or their authorized representative.

6) If a data subject requests the correction of errors in their personal information, the Company will not use or provide the information until the correction is made. If the information has already been shared with a third party, the Company will notify the third party promptly to ensure the correction is made.

7) If the data subject or their legal representative withdraws consent (e.g., terminates membership), the Company will promptly dispose of the information unless its retention is required by relevant laws. Retained information will only be accessed or used for necessary purposes as specified in “Purpose, Categories, and Retention Period of Personal Information.”

Minors are not allowed to purchase LS Offerings. If you are under the age of 16, you may only use LS Offerings with the prior consent of your parent or guardian.Data subjects may appeal the Company’s decisions regarding their requests. Retention and Disposal of Personal Information

1. Retention

1) The retention period for the Company’s data is determined in accordance with the applicable laws and internal policies. If there is a legal obligation to retain certain personal information, the Company will store such information. In such cases, the Company will store such information solely for the purpose of ensuring compliance.

2) When a specific retention period cannot be identified, the general retention period is set at 365 days (1 year).

2.Disposal

1) Unless required by other laws, the Company will promptly dispose of personal information that is no longer needed, such as after the retention period has expired or the purpose of the information’s collection has been fulfilled.

2) If the retention period agreed upon by the customer has expired or the purpose of collecting the information has been fulfilled, but the information must still be retained due to legal obligations, internal policies, or information protection reasons (as outlined in the “Retention and Use Period”), the information will be transferred to a separate database (DB) or stored in a different location (e.g., a secure document file for physical records). Information moved to a separate DB will not be used for purposes other than those legally permitted.

3) Personal information stored in electronic file format will be permanently deleted in a manner that will prevent its future recovery. If technical limitations make permanent deletion challenging, the data will be processed in accordance with [relevant clauses] to ensure it cannot be recovered. Personal information stored in paper form will be shredded or incinerated to ensure its proper disposal.

  • The Company will also take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is rendered irrecoverable by converting it into a form in which it is no longer identifiable, considering factors such as time, cost, and available technology.

The Company does not, in principle, collect information from minors under the age of 16 or the equivalent minimum age specified in the applicable laws in respective jurisdictions (including children). The Company’s websites, products, and services are broadly intended for use by the general public. To prevent access by minors, the Company implements age-restriction features on its websites and applications, ensuring that personal information from minors is not collected through these measures.

1) Purpose of using cookies

If the browser includes Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP), specific preferences for the Company’s website may be repeatedly reset. These resets are managed by the browser, not the Company.

When using the Company’s products and services, approved third parties may also set cookies. These third parties use cookies to deliver content or perform services on behalf of LS Electric America. The Company applies the following technical and administrative measures to ensure the security of customers’ personal information and prevent its loss, theft, leakage, alteration, or damage during processing.

1) Technical Measures
1. Personal information collected through the Company’s website is encrypted in the database (DB) according to internal policies, and access to the DB is controlled.

3. Important information such as users’ passwords is stored in an encrypted format.

1. Establishment of a Personal Information Management System: The Company has established and operates an internal personal information management system to securely manage personal data.
2. Management of Personnel Who Handle Personal Information: Employees handling customers’ personal information are required to sign confidentiality agreements and undergo personal information protection training at least once per year. This ensures they understand the importance of safeguarding customer information and are equipped to manage it securely. In addition, by managing the access rights of personnel who handle personal information, the Company minimizes unnecessary exposure to or access to customers’ personal information.

Transmission, Processing, Storage, and Access of Information By Hostile Nations

The Company does not transmit, process, store, or grant access to information in nations designated as hostile by the Department of Commerce. In compliance with national laws that classify specific countries as hostile, the designated department regularly reviews updates to ensure that personal information held by the Company is not transmitted, processed, stored, or accessed in such countries.
